Biosimilars Seminar, co-organized by China Center for Pharmaceutical International Exchange (CCPIE) and Shanghai Roche Pharmaceuticals Ltd., was held in Beijing on June 28, 2008.

　　Experts from Genentech Corporation and Roche Pharmaceuticals were invited to present the hot topics related to biological products, such as, the introduction to the concepts of biological generics and biosimilars, the current status of laws and regulations in U.S. and E.U. on biosimilars perspectives and the scientific manufacturing aspects of biological products. More than 50 representatives from the relevant departments and affiliated organizations of SFDA and medical institutions attended the seminar.
