China Center for Pharmaceutical International Exchange, as an independent institutional legal 
person, is a public institution affiliated to the State Drug Administration (SDA), and it includes the 
following departments: Division of General Affairs, Division of Technological Cooperation, Division 
of Consultancy Services, and Division of Conference & Exhibition.
　　
　　Major responsibilities and business scope:
　　
　　By centering on the functions and work priorities of SDA, the centerundertakes to carry out 
international exchanges and cooperation, organize exchanges and cooperation between the domestic 
pharmaceutical circle and that in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan .
　　
　　Undertake international exchanges and cooperation through private channels, organize and 
implement international exchange and cooperation programs among enterprises, scientific research 
institutions, social organizations as well as foreign institutions.
　　
　　Take on reception tasks of visiting foreign groups and individuals related with pharmaceuticals; 
organize overseas (cross-border) visits such as investigation and training for relevant staffs in the 
field of pharmaceuticals in China .
　　
　　Sponsor international exhibitions and conferences on pharmacy, medical equipments and 
health products and carry out relevant technical exchanges and consultancy services.
　　
　　Offer agent services (to be in charge of by Huake Pharmaceutical Intellectual Property 
Consultative Center) for drug administrative protection parties and coordinate in applications for 
passport and visa for staff members on business of SDA and SDA-affiliated institutions
　　
　　Accomplish other tasks entrusted by SDA.
　　
　　Since its foundation in 1989, the center has carried out extensive foreign exchanges and 
cooperation through private channels, and established cooperative relationships with non-
governmental institutions, academic institutions and consulting agencies from more than 20 
countries and regions.

　　For instance, it has successfully held CHINA PHARM for ten times, which has constructed 
a platform for the exhibition of advanced equipments from pharmaceutical enterprises at home 
and abroad. In addition, it has organized about 100 large scale international forums, summits and 
academic conferences,and offered consultancy services for Chinese and foreign enterprises on 
regulations and product registrations of their medical drugs, medical equipments and health foods. 
The center has served as a bridge for the communication between enterprises and governments, 
and has promoted cooperation between Chinese and foreign pharmaceutical enterprises, as well 
as the development of the pharmaceutical industry.
